Identify the covered opening and construction: a removable framed roof shade, a side-window mesh set or roller, a folding windshield shade, or an exterior snow cover. Record quantity for each design separately. A mixed order across several designs should not be treated as one style for the 100-piece production minimum.

If the design is vehicle-specific, include make, model, model year or production period, market and clear photographs of the opening and intended mounting points. The vehicle directory is an enquiry aid; it is not a guarantee of fit.

Include the required fabric appearance, mesh or opaque construction, colour, frame or roller format, edge finish and storage method. A reference photo alone does not specify the material grade, dimensions or attachment details. Mark each unresolved item for review.

Ask for performance documentation that identifies the material and product configuration being quoted. If you require a particular test method or destination-market document, put it in the brief before sampling. Avoid comparing products using unsupported universal UV or temperature-reduction claims.

Sample quantity, charge, development work and delivery schedule need separate confirmation in the quotation. Record what the sample is intended to prove: dimensions, installation, removal, headroom, retention, folding or roller operation, and finish.

For a vehicle-specific design, approve the sample on the target vehicle. Keep an agreed drawing or specification and the approval record together. A change in fabric, mounting, dimensions or packaging after approval should be reviewed for its effect on cost and timing.

Provide logo artwork, proposed placement, packaging format, labels, instructions and storage-bag requirements where applicable. Ask the quotation to identify which customizations are included and which remain open. Do not assume that a reference sample includes your final artwork or retail packaging.

Compare unit prices only after matching the design, quantity per style, material, branding, packaging and inspection scope. Ask for sampling charges, any development or tooling costs if applicable, production timing, payment terms, shipping destination and the stated delivery basis.

Agree what will be checked before shipment: quantities, labels, appearance, dimensions and the functions relevant to the approved sample. Precise price, delivery date and test commitments are project-specific and are confirmed in writing.
