Private Label Windshield Sunshades
Edited by LesomTech
A private label windshield sunshade is a complete packed product, not just a logo on a panel. Importers, wholesalers and automotive brands need to define the intended vehicle coverage, folding method, storage format and customer-facing instructions alongside the artwork. Those decisions determine what the factory should sample and what the buyer can approve.
LesomTech manufactures automotive sunshades in its own factory and reviews material, branding and packaging requirements with buyers. Production starts at 100 pieces per style; sample quantities and costs are agreed separately. Confirm the quotation unit and the treatment of size or artwork variants before planning your assortment.
1. Define the windshield coverage before choosing a size label
Send the target vehicle details or the windshield outline and dimensions, plus interior photographs showing the mirror, sensors and surrounding trim. A small, medium or large label is not a fitment specification. If you propose several sizes, identify the intended vehicle group and the dimensions to review for each one.
Check the sample on the parked target vehicle for coverage, positioning and mirror or sensor clearance. Record any areas that must remain clear. Distinguish an interior windshield sunshade from an exterior snow cover in the brief: the attachment, contact areas and use conditions require separate review. Windshield sunshade instructions should clearly require removal before driving.
2. Approve folding and storage as part of the product
Specify the preferred fold direction and the stored size that suits your sales channel. If a pouch, strap or other storage component is requested, list it as an item to confirm, with dimensions and branding where relevant. Do not assume it is included because a reference image shows it.
Fold and unfold the physical sample, then check whether it fits the agreed storage format. Review seams, edges and the appearance after handling. Confirm the folding instructions using the actual construction, and retain photographs of both the open product and the stored pack so later packaging decisions use the same reference.
3. Sign off a print sample, not only a digital mockup
Provide usable logo artwork, intended print dimensions, placement and a colour reference. Ask which printing approach can be reviewed for the selected material and construction. Agree which face carries the design and how it aligns when the shade is unfolded; a flat digital illustration does not establish the finished result.
Review a physical branded sample for positioning, legibility, colour and the appearance around folds and seams. Record the artwork version and approval date. If a durability or colour test is required, define the method and acceptance criteria before production. Do not turn a metallic appearance or material description into an unsupported UV or temperature-reduction promise.
4. Confirm the saleable pack and shipping carton
List the product, storage component, label, instructions and retail packaging that belong in one sales unit. Supply the required languages, barcode details and proposed copy for review. Match any vehicle or performance statement on the packaging to the approved sample and available evidence; a packaging draft does not validate the statement.
Request packed-unit dimensions and weight, carton quantity, carton dimensions, gross weight and shipping marks for the agreed configuration. Keep estimates distinct from measured packed-sample data. Submit quantities per style, destination and required delivery timing, then confirm transport scope and the production schedule in the final quotation after sample and packaging approval.
