Sunshade MOQ and Order Structure

Edited by LesomTech

LesomTech starts production orders at 100 pieces for each style. That number is the minimum for one design, applied per style rather than per order, so how an order is grouped into styles determines both whether it reaches production and how it is quoted.

This guide explains how the minimum applies, what a mixed order does to it, and which costs sit inside the unit price and which are quoted separately. The figures on this page are the published commercial terms; project-specific prices, schedules and payment terms are confirmed in writing in the quotation.

1. The minimum applies per style, not per order

A style is one design: one opening, one construction, one fabric and colour specification, one branding and packaging specification. Two designs that differ only in size are still two styles.

Record the quantity for each design separately in your enquiry. A combined figure across several designs does not reach the production minimum for any of them, and it also prevents the factory from pricing the cutting pattern, frame and packing steps that belong to each design.

2. A mixed order is not one style

A set that includes a roller roof shade, a fold-flat roof shade, a side-window set, a folding windshield shade and an exterior snow cover is five designs. Each needs its own specification, its own sample decision and its own quantity.

Grouping them into a single style to reach the minimum changes what you are buying. The result is a quotation that cannot be executed, because the cutting pattern, frame, packaging and inspection scope differ for every design.

3. What sits inside the unit price

The unit price covers the agreed design: material, cutting, sewing or binding, frame or roller components, assembly and the agreed packaging. It assumes the specification in the quotation and the approved sample.

Sample quantities and charges, development work and any requested testing are confirmed separately. If you need a particular test method or a destination-market document, state it in the brief before sampling rather than after.

4. Tooling is quoted only when a new pattern is needed

For a vehicle-specific design, check the pattern status for the product line before requesting a quotation. Where a pattern is already on file, development starts from that geometry and no new tooling is quoted.

Where a new pattern is required for that product line, the tooling cost is quoted separately before sampling. Confirm which product lines are pattern on file and which need a new pattern for the exact vehicle, and price the two differently.

5. Compare quotations on the same basis

Unit prices are only comparable when the design, quantity per style, material, branding, packaging and inspection scope match. Ask each supplier to state the production minimum per style in writing, and to separate the unit price from sample, tooling, shipping and any testing charges.

Also ask for the stated delivery basis and the payment terms, and for the inspection scope agreed before shipment: quantities, labels, appearance, dimensions and the functions covered by the approved sample. A lower unit price with a wider scope is not a lower cost.
